Biggest issues for 2010?

For some companies, 2009 was a banner year. For others, it was another tough year, not as bad as 2008 perhaps, but certainly one to forget. So what will 2010 bring?

Well, the spending climate in general looks like it will remain pretty tough; most people expect low growth.  But the real budgetary climate really depends on your company. Hopefully, you'll have enough growth to do more than tread water.

There are some broad issues out there that will touch all. Wall Street & Technology does us all a favor by publishing their list of the top 10 issues. At the top of the priorities lists: dealing with regulatory reform, improving risk management and enhancing efficiency. Software as a service and cloud computing in all forms will be big priorities. High-frequency trading, dark pools, hedge fund automation, risk modeling, OTC derivatives clearing and regulatory reporting will also be a big issue. Social networking will also rank as a high priority at many places. What else belongs on the list?
