Index fund price war escalates

Fidelity Investments will join the ranks of big asset managers that are cutting fees on index funds. The Boston fund company has announced it will cut fees on 22 of its funds, including the Spartan series, and lower the investment minimums. Charles Schwab, Vanguard, and BlackRock have all moved in similar fashion this year. This is yet another indication of how ETFs continue to shake up the fund universe. Article
